Today in my 06 Cougar with a 225 Pro XS, 2 people half tank of fuel water temp 50 got 74.4. Running a Trophy 26. Last week with just me in it I got 76.2.

07 puma 225 pro xs 2 guys, 1/2 gas, empty wells 25 fury 71 mph, 26 trophy 72.5 maybe 73 mph on a good day.

07 Puma w/ 225 Pro XS loaded with 450 lbs. of people 20 gallons of fuel in the rear tanks water in wells and full of gear I can get 71 w/ 26 fury or 73 w/ 27 tempest before the boat starts to chine. I am still trying to learn to drive the boat to stop the chine, hopefully once I get it figured out I will gain a few more mph.

2005 Puma dual console with 225 Evinrude HO 26p Fury, 101lbs thrust trolling moter, 4 battery set up. Holeshot is about 6 sec. With full gear, 50 gallons gas, full live wells and just me in boat. Water temp in 80s, my top end is at 74.7 mph at 5900-6000 rpm.

Got a little seat time with the 25 Fury, 05 PUMA, 225 Pro Xs:4th battery being a PM1 Sears Anchor2 people – 350#, medium tackle65 degrees ambient, water temp 60, elevation sea level 250ft6″ jack plate, 1.5″ above flush68 mph, 5700 RPM, 18 PSIHole shot 2-3 SecStill working with trim level as I think I was high most of the time.Also previous owner ran a 26 Fury and I assume the jack plate height same no changes.Jack plate sounds way high from what I hear about flush or just below.Any comments on where to set jack plate for 05 PUMA
