Trailer Winch

Has anybody installed an electric winch on the trailer? I have a Cougar now and the PII was hard enough to winch up. Some of the ramps I use dont allow power loading... At least while someones watching...

I have one on my pontoon boat trailer. Its more of a pain than anything, even with it wired into my 7 way plug it seems to always be a bunch of work to setup. It replaced the hand which so if you are in a case where hand winching would have worked you have to plug it all in.The best thing for not being able to power load is, back the trailer in to the correct spot so the boat lines up. Then winch it up as much as you can. Then back the trailer up again and then crank it again.

The winch I was looking at has a hand crank as well… I havent researched it much yet though…

The Fulton XLT is probably the best quality for the money out there. They have ended business of several other brands and most others today are Chinese brands private labeled for companies.

Thanks. Does anybody know if there is a difference in the bolt pattern between the XLT and the F2 series winches? If I currently have the XLT, will the F2 mount right on?
