Bass Cat Boats – tacking onto this thread to avoid starting another one unnecessarily. I was unclear on your response here about the 1000gph cartridges. My situation is as follows: I have a 1999 (or 2000 – I cant remember without looking) Bass Cat Pantera III. It has a Johnson 200HP outboard, a Super Dash and standard 6 pumps (all 750GPH) under the deck in the back. I have replaced several cartridges over the years and the process is very simple and works great! This last time, however, although I ordered a 750GPH pump cartridge (to keep in the boat as a spare when needed), I was sent a 1000GPH pump cartridge. Can I use this safely as a replacement for any of my different pump purposes (bilge auto, bilge manual, aerator, recirculate, pump out, freshwater pump in) as needed without any implications? I do not want to overwhelm any circuitry, such as wiring or fuses, by drawing too much current. I keep good batteries in the boat at all times, so I am not worrying about draining batteries too quickly – I just want to be sure that I will not be creating any new issues?
