It reasonably accurate and is only a year old. It was not dated information then, and while there are some changes it will give you an idea of batteries.

We like the largest AGM in 31 series you can find. There is a list of suggested batteries though Deka, DieHard, Trojan and otters wHave what you need.

I use the Sears 31s for the troller. Will work great for cranking. Great batteries and best warranty out there. Big, heavy and $$$$ though.

Most likely it is. I would take it out of the boat and take it to a place like Advance Auto or Auto Zone and have it load tested.

I actually already load tested it since a friend of mine has a tester and it tested in the green. Thats another thing that has me stumped….????

Most likely is the connection to the battery and that is frequent on the engine leads. Pending of course the voltage is 12.4 or so. This really is a very, very common issue on cranking batteries in boats, no different than vehicles and those leads needing to be moved around for a connection. Just no one thinks about it on their boats.

BCB, what should the volt meter read on the gauge?

We always suggest you use a hand held voltmeter to be sure on the voltage.
