Theyre not stripped ! They have nuts and a backing plate behind them and you must pull plug plate and reach in with a boxed in wrench and hold the nuts to tighten.Good news and bad !P.s., dont drop the wrench ! Tie a string to it just in case.

They are floated tightend in the deck to secure the mount, which is more or less floated on the deck retained by those screws. There is the mentioned backing plate and they have nylox nuts on the backside.

BCB is very ingenious with the plates they use to help secure trolling motors. These are NOT the easiest to get to, but the screws are not stripped. You are turning the bolt and nut together. On some rigs the front plate resembles a square with the corner cut on one side to compensate for the bow coming to a point. I was sore for a week after changing trolling motors, but have great confidence with its security. The backing plates presented a challenge to access.

Be careful when tightening the screws to ensure that each is secured at a fairly equal torque value. Tightening one significantly more than the others will put the TM bracket in a bind a you will have great difficulty deploying the TM.

If its loose tighten it, if it is just a little slippage when you turn the screws leave it alone.
