Broken weld on trailer.

I found a broken weld on my trailer this afternoon. Its a 2010 trailer with tandem axle. The I beam separated at a weld on a bunk brace. Its right were the beam angles down to the level center section. I will call my dealer in the morning and see what I need to do. I live in Amarillo and my closest dealer is S&D in Shawnee, OK. My question is can it be repaired with the boat on the trailer and what will I need to do to repaint that area. Thanks in advance for your help. I would post a picture but I cant figure out how.
