What is Bass Cats new boat???? Take a guess!!!

I will start this off. I am going to go in a different direction than most people will be thinking when it comes to the new boat. Most probably think it will be a new 21 Jag or a PIV with a 225 rating but Bass Cat has defended over and over again the reasons why it will not be doing those things and I tend to agree with them. Along with these thoughts, Bass Cat has said many times that the median age of its new boat purchases are mid 50s and it would like to lower that down to a younger crowd. You see evidence of this trend with bringing on IKE and the 20" rims on the trailers. I was also thinking that fuel prices are going up and up and most likely will not turn around so the need for an efficient platform seems what is needed. Lastly, these boats are just getting more and more expensive each year and a lot of the potential market (especially the younger ones) are just left out. So, with all this in mind (drumroll please)the new 2008 Bass Cat will be called the.................................................................................................................................................................. Ocelot!!! It is a 176" hull W/an FTD type layout with a max horsepower of 135.God Bless, Stephen

I think a 17 hull would be a great addition to the line; sort of a revival of the Caracal or Margay; cept call it a Bobcat. I like American stuff, and bobcats are even local to Arkansas; and I saw one just three weeks ago on the Buffalo River.However, BCB already updated their history list with the following:”20 Euro Style Hull 2008 thru”So well just have to see what “euro style” means and what the name will be. From reading this board, I am guessing a Fish & Ski is the new boat. It would probably be built on the Piv hull to be a quick planing, flat riding dual purpose (family & fishing) boat.If I had my wish, it would be a 21.5 boat.

If its a 20 footer, how about a Puma FTD. Front deck from the Cougar with rear storage and under seat fuel.
