Topic: Fold-down Console on Bay Cat

I just got into a 2003 Bay Cat. What is the intended design of the fold down console? If I unscrew the front legs of the bench seat and fold back, and then fold the console down onto the bench, I barely see a decrease in height. If I were to completely remove the bench seat and fold the console all the way to the floor, I see a significant decrease, but am fairly certain that I would be breaking some electrical connections? Suggestions please?ThanksPS the Bay Cat is one awesome boat.

It is designed to remove the bolster seat and fold the console all the way down for access in a 68″ garage header.The wiring was originally set to have that excess in it. Though it may have been tightened up by a previous owner? The seat can be removed or it has been hinged back as you indicate for some. BCB
