I just bought a 1995 Pantera II. I was wondering can I still get the rod holders for the rod box.

BCB glasses their rod organizers in so they cant be added by the consumer after the fact. That is the bad news, the good news is they are sturdier than anything else out there.They used to recommend a Stick Stacker aftermarket product but I dont know if they are doing that still.Osprey makes a good aftermarket organizer but I wouldnt order from them as they have a reputation for taking a very long time in getting their product to you.Good luck, there is at least one good article on making your own organizer on the bbc if that interests you.Judd Lasiter

I made one myself using a white cutting board and some golf club tubes. Total cost was around $25. The hardest part was making the cuts to fit the shape of the rod box. Heres some pics. Ill help you out more if needed.KentKent Charles 2002 Pantera Classic & 200 Yamaha VMax

If your handy, then the do it yourself method above is one of the best. Though we would redesign it to allow an opening below he top half, as with stock organizers. The back rack can be done by drilling holes and running a bungee cord across the holes to hold them in.Use the large golf tubes if you can find them.BCB

Hello Kent how does the cutting board stay in place? Thanks ChrisWhile his is wedged in, you can place screws into it through the top lip or deck and side petitions. BCB

Chris,The cutting board is cut very close to the exact shape of the rod box. Then it is just slightly wedged into the carpet of the rod box (not extremely tight). Also, the 15 golf club tubes are pushed through the front and resting behind the cutting board to add a little stability. It is not mounted with any hardware, but it is very stable. It has not moved at all since I placed it about 6 months ago, and ive fished in some rough stuff several times. Hope that helps.KentKent Charles 2002 Pantera Classic & 200 Yamaha VMax

What did you use to cut the plastic? I tried a Sabre saw – no pun intended-and the cut would close up behind the blade because the saw blade will get hot and melt the plastic. Thanks John

I ordered the large golf club tubes online from Bass Pro Shops. I actually looked at several golf stores, and none of them carried the tubes. I used a jig saw to cut the cutting board.
