Engine Temp Sensor

Was wondering how hard it is to change the temp sensor on the engine. Is it something you can just splice a new one on near the motor, or does it require a home run all the way to the dash. Come to think of it my water temp and my trim sensors are always off as well. I tried to calabrate my trim gauge with the manual...didnt seem to help any. As for the water temp gauge it works when it wants and when it does work it always jumping around like crazy!

It is simple to replace the temp and trim senders. Though check connections and use the diagnostics on the trim for checking the signal. It sounds like a missing or faulty ground, or a bad connection. Check the terminal block grounds on the transopm.BCB
