First time boat purchser looking for Bass Cat………………..maybe.

I have posted in another forum and was directed here by a few members of that forum.I am looking to purchase my first boat. Actually, first boat for both me and my dad. My uncle has recently purchased a 09 Bass Cat Cougar FTD and I have fallen in love with it. I have been reading the Bass Cat forums for a few weeks now and thought I would finally post.I am looking to spend up to $18,000. The bigger the boat the better, as me and dad are both fairly large guys. I just last week walked around on a 09 Pantera Classic at the dealer and the decks felt too small for comfort. I would also prefer a boat 02 or newer, if possible. Currently I am also looking at an 03 Triton TR-21. Actually, 2 of them, one with a 200hp Merc and the other with a 225 Merc. Both $17,500. I am positive I would prefer a BC. But seems that my requirements on size, year model, and price range may keep me out of luck on that front. Unless one of you have a sweet deal or know of one. Thanks for any help.

i think you could find something in that range. here is a older post http://basscatowners.yuku.com/topic/10603its a 01 but has an 06 motor not sure if its still for sale or not just one example. You may have to dig back through several pages and email some folks as they may still have the boat for sale but havent updated the original post. Good luck with your search.

Thanks for that link!I had found an 03 Cougar FTD this morning for $17,800 with 200hp mercury a couple hundred miles from here, but when I called they said they sold it this morning. I had about given up on getting a cat at that point. This thread is my last ditch effort before going with the others I mentioned in first post.

Keep Lookin , DO NOT SETTLE for the T boat or any others, I understand cost but you will be pleased if you wait and find the one you want!!! I did and I am extremely happy that I waited!!!! I will keep an eye for one!!!Pete

This is a little older model than you might want, but Ive got a 2000 Pantera III single console with a 200 Evinrude Ficht. Boat and motor run fantastic and are in excellent shape. Fiberglass is almost flawless and only have one very small tear in the seats. Low hours at about 170. Boat has all bells and whistles… Motorguide 36V foot trolling motor, Humminbird 787 GPS and Lowrance X-71 on dash and Lowrance X-51 on bow, new batteries in the last year, brand new 4 bank online battery charger, Hambys keel guard, Aurora custom boat cover, extended fishing deck (great for you and Dad), two butt seats and much more! Hi Corey,I have a 2001 Bass Cat Jaguar and asking $16,500. I know what you mean by being a big guy and need plenty of room. Bass Cat is the boat for you then, I am a big guy and have always owned a cat. They have extra room at the console!
