looking for a bait

Guys I need some help. I fish for hybrids like crazy. Probably more than I bass fish. Im having trouble finding a bait that I use. Could you guys check your tackle stores as you browse for this bait. It is called a "hawg stick".. it was made by Rogers Lure Co. I think they went out of bidness or sumpin.. I found a couple a year or two ago and cant find them anywhere now.. I would appreciate any help in finding these baits. I lost my last pearl one today on Greers Ferry lake.. thanks to a big ole hybrid and some standing timber... thanks for the help...

This was Jim Rogers son Steves sporting good store in MO. He would be your best option. Jim was a friend of the family (Ron & Jan) and Steve was still functioning in this store when last we knew. We have some in an old UMCO tackle box from the 70s somewhere. We would have to dig those up? Rogers Sporting GoodsYou will notice the similarity in the logo. BCB

Jims son Steve has a store in Liberty Mo. Call and ask if they carry the baits. Im sure lucky strike usa bought the lure manufacturing co. Here is the # to Rogers Sporting goods 816-781-9026. Ask for Russ or Steve these two will be able to tell u for sure. Good luck, Earle

The 2007 Central Pro Am Championship is down there on Saturday and Sunday. I qualified with a top 40 finish overall this year again. Not sure what ramp the launch is out of.

MikeI have been catching some nice smallmouth, but they are feeding on the shad with the hybrids.. I caught one nearly 3lbs. last week.. most of them are small though.. (catch and released) Water temp on greers was 80 yesterday. Last week it dipped to 75. Some fish are moved in shore and I wouldnt be scared to throw a fluke and/or buzzbait around shallow water points. Carolina rig is always good there as well. If I get rained out at work and run up there in the morning I may fish a little for them… if the hybrids are not blitzing….

I made a “pilgrimage” to the Liberty Store several years ago, looking for the jumbo-sized walking lures (stick baits like a Super Spook). My family wanted to see Trumans birthplace, so I said what the heck! I bought every one they had at the time. If these are close to what you want, let me know…Gary Hollander
