As mentioned above, youre running on 12V and not the full 24. the 80# will run on 12 — but not efficient and not for long. If you have a white wire, then you probably have a three prong plug and the boat would be wired for 12/24V. If this is the case, at the plug, moving the red trolling motor wire to the unused connection should give 24V. Using a volt meter, you can check it at the plug.
