Kicker KMC 10 upgrade

Apparently the Kicker KMC10 does not come with Sirius or XM radio capability. Is there another option that does on a new boat? How difficult to switch out if so. Thanks!Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

My 17 Eyra came with the speakers and no radio, dealer ordered it that way. He installed the radio of my choice. I didn’t get one with satellite radio but shouldn’t matter. Only issue I could think of is if the hole is already there and finding something to fit.

They no longer make the Sirrius or XM option with receivers. That was a Sony or Panasonic part for Sony systems on the 910 units.

I took a look at the Kicker site since posting this. They make a KMC20 which has satellite radio. The face plate looks the same as the KMC10.http://www.kicker.com/kmc20This would have been my preference on my new boat although it is an additional $200 to the KMC10, at least to the public.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

We have no knowledge of the KMC 20 in our system, though we can ask. It was out understanding that the receivers for XM were no longer available that are required.

Just get the kmc10 and subscribe to Spotify. Xm is a joke

I use the Apple Music subscription, $10 per month. I like it way better than XM or Sirus. I can make my own playlist, listen to a specific artist, or any specific type of music. Whole family is included.

For years i have wanted a stearo in my boat, finally have one and never use itOrdering a new boat – no stereoI use a UE Mega boom….Bluetooth to Iphone for some of the best sound on the water. Also i can take with me anywhere. Best $200 every spent.

Thanks for all the feedback. Several thoughts, I picked up the boat yesterday so I am tied to the KMC10. Spotify is an option as I already have it for free thru work, and use it on occasion. Downloading a number of songs so I can listen offline or out of cell coverage is possible, and probably what I will do. Apple is an option. Satellite radio has many other stations including NPR and sports stations which I listen to regularly. I think there is a place for it and had the KMC20 with satellite been an option, I would haven chosen it. Either way Im not dissatisfied, I have a new Cougar FTD sitting in the garage. I can sing to myself if necessary.BCB memo: this is the first request for the KMC20 and it is not on the 2019 list.
