prop for a Pantera IV

I just got my new Pantera IV with a 200 Opitmax and it came with a 25pitch 3 Blade Tempest. I havent taken it out yet but I am wondering about the performance. I would appreciate any comments. I know BassCat wouldnt put a prop that wouldnt perform Im just wondering if it the best prop for my boat.

We suggest you start where you are. After you get your boat loaded, you might consider another alternative. Though this has been a good option. You should have to lower you engine for most peoples uses. They are not pre set as we have no idea of how high you will need to be. BCB

Hello there, The P4 is a great Bass Cat, I currently running both templest and trophy 26p. Have a better hole shot with the Temp, but more lift with Trophy. With two guys and all tackle, 1/2 tank of gas, full wells, I was turnning 5500 RPMs running 72 GPS. Prop shaft is set about 3 inchs below pad. This is with the new 3.0L 200 EFI. Fish4funI have had my p-4 since october and is set up just like yours. I have found the 25 tempest to be the best all around prop in the mercury line. The 25 trophy has a little better holeshot but does not perform as well on the top end .I am still tweaking on my shaft height but the zone seems to be 2.5 to 3 inches.I had keystone propeller build me one of their signature series 25 tro-4and would not trade it for two merc props.Holeshot,speedand handling are all better. Let me know how yours performs. Always like to hear how other p-4s are runningand how their setup.My best gps run has been 72.3
