Help Installing New Tandem Fender

I was hoping you guys can help with the installation of a new tandem fender for my 2012 Puma FTD. First, I have the 4 bolts out, and the wiring disconnected. The fender is still on solid, so its evident there is an adhesive on the back of the fender. What is the best way to separate the old fender from the trailer frame? Any tips would be most appreciated. Second, there are no bolt holes drilled in the new fender. I suspect I need to put the fender on, line things up, and then drill the holes for the bolts. Any tips on how to approach this? I was thinking I could use clamps on the front and back and when all looks aligned, I can drill the holes. Again, any tips would be most appreciated. Steve

Yes there adhesive holding it to the mounting braces. Assuming you dont want to salvage the old fender I would use a flat pry bar and try to separate. Its my understanding its tricky do without cracking if you need to resuse the same fender.

Heat the underside and use a floor jack with a wooden block against the underside of the fender, slowly… very slowly.

Thanks guys. The jack was the ticket. I used a bottle jack and a huge flat tip. I would jack it a bit, then work the screwdriver and pry bar between the fender and brace. I got it off, and got the new one fitted and drilled in short order. Looks great. Now I just have to watch out for those short posts around the ramp.
