The original Rochester brand sending units in a 2005 were all over the board on fuel tank readings. You can remove them through the access port under the seats. Fold the seat up and you should find a round four screw plate. With the fuel down in the tank, you can remove the sender through this access and carefully bend the arm to the tank depths and settings you desire. These are notoriously inaccurate on sending signals, so you will have to watch the gauge on the dash to adjust these bends. This sender is what all of our competitors use, and used in those days. It was an standard sending unit supplied by in the tanks by the Mfg. The newer boats all have a WEMA sender, which costs almost four times as much as the Rochester. Though it too has its inaccuracies on occasion. Rebend that arm, and it only goes in one way. Five holes, one direction, so mark the sender and gasket. BCB
