SOLD – 26 P Fury

Traded in a slightly used 26P Fury to Steve at Steves Custom Props. I believe he is selling for less than $400. Im currently running a 25 Tempest plus on my 08 cougar with a 225 opti. (not proxs) what would this fury do for my boat. Im very satisfied with the performance I am currently getting but if the fury would be an upgrade I would consider it. Thanks, KO.

I think it would definitely be too much prop for your set up unless you run really light. I have an 06 Cougar with the 225 ProXS. I could turn it to about 56-5700. I have a 26 P Trophy that I can spin to 6050.

Thanks for your input, I was wondering why you were getting rid of it but now I know. So do you think that a 25 Fury would be a good match ?

I saw you are from the Pan Handle. You may consider elevation in your decision. The numbers I was quoting were from Possum kingdom which is at 1000 feet elevation. The higher you are, the harder it is to turn. I really experience my motor “waking up” when I get in lower elevations. I ran my boat on the Tenn Tom waterway in MS in 2007. I had two bubbas in the boat with me, and all my gear. I was amazed to see 73+ with a big load.

I think I would try the 24P and 25P Fury for your application Vs a 25P Trophy and see which you like the best. You will definitely like loading the boat better. The Fury will put it on top of your truck.
