Putting On Boat Numbers

The soapy water trick works great. Spray the surface and the back of the sticker, put it in place and let it dry. the soapy water allows you to move it around to get it in perfect position. You can do several letters/numbers before the first one is dry.

I applied my dry. I just did some measuring and found a spot on the boat they fit and used the lines of the boat to line things up.

Darrell for sure. You can do a visual on the style you pick and then he sent a proof before making for me. I blew it up to the right size then taped it to the boat to get the best place to put it. I used the blue painters tape to mark the exact place then followed the directions. The results speak for themselves:

Put a line of duct tape where you want the bottom of the letters to make a straight line. Then use the soap trick to make sure the numbers are verticle.- Chaz

Make sure when you order numbers, you know the complete dimensions of the numbers. If you add shadowing, etc., it can add to the overall height of the number. For example, a 3″ number with bold outline and shadowing can totally measure over 4″ in height.
