200 Merc Verado

BCB, have you done anymore testing with the 200 Verado on a P2 or classic? I notice Rons Eyra had a 200 verado on it. Just curious of the speeds, holeshot, and fuel mileage with that engine. I truly believe the 4 strokes are taking the bass boat market too. Looks like a neat engine. I had a 200 Opti on my P2 and it ran great. Hopefully the verado will perform as good or better.

The Verado does not have the guts in the in line four cylinder that the Opti has. Ron likes the engine and had one on a Pantera Classic in 2009.

Maybe theyll beef it up like the SHO. Itd be neat if Suzuki would bring a 200SS!

I sold a PII to a customer this year with a 200 Verado. My customer is very happy with the performance. As BCB stated, it doesnt have the guts of the Optimax but its still a nice set up for the PII.
