Help with 1999 Pantera classic w/ 150 Mercury EFI

I recently purchased a beautiful 1999 pantera classic. 150 Mercury EFI, 23P trophy prop. The boat tops out at 5200 rpms and 56 mph. I think the motor may be sitting too low. How low or high should the motor sit? It does have a manual power-lift jack plate. I read the motor should be between 2-3.5 inches below the pad. At what part of the foot do you measure to? Any help will be greatly appreciated. I love my new Bass Cat Boat. I have heard only positive things about the boats, owners, and BCB community. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.Thanks

You might want to post this in the general forum it will probably get more traffic over there. As far as measurement, you are looking from the centerline of the prop shaft to the bottom of the pad on the boat. Im not familiar with a 150 on a pantera so not much help there.
