Had to take a minute to say something most of you folks already know. This past January my wife and I had the pleasure to meet Rick Pierce at the St Louis boat show. He spent quite a bit of time showing us a Puma and answering all our questions. We were pleasantly surprised to say the least. Fast forward to this past Saturday at the tournament sponsored by Dupo Marine on Lake of the Ozarks. My wife and I had just finished fishing the tournament and made our way up to the weigh in area. As we did so, a gentleman turned to us and said, “I believe I met you folks back at the St Louis boat show”. Yep…it was Rick who had driven a few hours to be a part of the event. He took time to talk to us there and then again at the dinner afterwards. Rick, not only do you lead a company that builds a great product but maybe even more important is your ability to make your customers (and future customers) feel like part of a larger circle of family and friends. We look forward to soon owning a BassCat. PS: the Verado is still my engine of choice Kevin Harris

His memory kills me and he likes to show it off when he can I met Rick at the Arlington boat show a few years ago and we talked and had a good time. A month or six weeks later the wife and I went up to the factory to pick up my new boat and we walked in Ricks office and I said “Hey dude.” then Rick said at some point “so how did you like your 99 Classic you bought at the Idle Zone?”. I just laughed and bragged on the boat. We then went to see Dorry and on the way my wife whispered to me “Judd, you just called the president of BassCat a dude” I was dying I thought it was so funny. I told her it was ok and I could say that, she was pretty shocked that I did it. They are all good people up at BCB and fun folks to be around…not to mention the stuff you can learn! Judd Lasiter
