BassCat and the Arkansas BASS Federation Nation

I want to thank BassCat and Rick Pierce for their support of the Arkansas BASS Federation Nation. They go beyond the normal in providing a boat for the first place finish team, free of charge. This year it was a Classic - a very nice looking boat. It doesnt have a motor, and Rick is working on it, but thats beyond the point. As the boat is put on display during the tournament, all the guys that look it over really seem to be appreciative of having a very nice boat as incentive, motor or not. Without BCB support, there wouldnt be much of a federation, at least not in its present form. The number of boats was down this year on Chicot to 85 from a normal of 120-140 boats. Probably attributable to the cost of fuel and the distance to the lake location. But, it was still a successful event and we hope the economy will ease up a little for next year. Long post, but I wanted everyone to know how BassCat supports the Arkansas BASS Federation. They deserve way more than just my thanks can convey. Also, I would like to thank the fishermen and women for their patience and understanding because of the tournament lake relocation. If youre out there reading this, thank you. I agree with Randy, Bass CAt is a great help. If you looked around the launching area or motels, it looked like a mini basscast invitational. Ron

I just wish Lake Chicot would have lived up to it usual self instead of being so difficult!! The lake just doesnt handle lots of pressure well. I just wish I could have fished!!

I am also thankful and greatful to BassCat for their their generosity.Our team was unable to make it to the tournament this year, but I remember two years ago when Rick and BassCat stepped in at the last minute when the tournament was at Lake Dardenelle and provided a boat when another Arkansas boat manufacturer only a day or two earlier decided they would no longer be able to help the Arkansas BASS Federation Nation. I would like to see the state tournament held at a lake that is in a more central part of the state-every year.I[and many others] think the turnout would improve back to the numbers we used to see.
