Which fury 4 pitch?

I have an 03 cougar FTD which I think is a little narrower hull than current model. My motor is 250 proxs (2012) and I have dual ppoles. The last couple years Ive been running a 27 bravo xs and I like its overall performance - except holeshot is a bit slow. Due to manual plate and regular rough water use, I cannot run the bravo as high as it likes, so my top end is only 73-74 with just me and a heavy tackle load and low 70s with two. These are both around 6000rpm. Ive also ran a 25 trophy and it runs to 72 fully loaded at 6000 but that is still running light on the pedal. I could easily over rev with this prop but I really like the quick hole shot. I want to try the new fury 4 blade and am trying to decide on 25 or 26". Im hoping it will perform a little better than the bravo set lower on the plate (3.5" below). If I could get to 75 with a 25pitch and just keep an eye on the rpms to get a good holeshot - I would be very happy. If I could turn a 26 to high 70s and still have a good holeshot, Id be ecstatic!! So what are the recommendations from guys that have ran the new fury4?

Try a 25 first with the load you have. Great all around prop.

Have you tried a 25″ Fury three blade?

I have ran a 3 blade fury but did not like it. At top end it was fine, but lower speeds(25-40) it ran high at the stern and low at the bow. This is not good for navigating the bigger rollers and heavy chop where I fish a lot. A Tempest seemed to run the same way.

You will like the fury 4 blade it lifts the hull up on the pad much sooner than the 3 blade

I have a 2015 Cougar FTD with 2 Talons. I was using a Fury 25P but was still sluggish out of the hole. Talked with Ivan at BCB and went to the Fury 4, 25P. Followed his directions on moving the jack plate up and man what a difference. Love the Fury4. I have a heavy load with all the fuel, 4 batteries, etc and still run low 70s; more than fast enough for my 275 lb butt and my partner.

like to know how new fury runs on a cougar ? better than the bravo xs1?
