Topic: 2 Fold problem

After taking of my hyd jackplate,(it was leaking and wouldnt go up) I found another problem. See photo. My trim pump is leaking again. This is the second pump in less than a year. The first one was leaking at the top of the big ram. Maybe I am doing something wrong. I dont hold the button after it has bottomed out or when placing the transom saver. Is anyone else having a problem with their Mercury pump? Chris

We have not seen a consistent problem with the trim pumps since those early 2000 MY pumps. These have been pretty good lately. We wonder if yours was assembled from parts at the dealership, or a total install? Though as for a history, we know of none. This we would say is an isolated incident. BCB

When I had it replaced the first time I was told it was a complete unit but who knows…………………..
