Had to take in boat for another reason, and when I dropped it off at local dealer (non-Basscat) I noticed grease splattered on the outside of the rear starboard rim. Had dealer check it out. Apparently the UFP Trailer Buddy was leaking, so they replaced it with what they had. A bearing buddy. I noticed the old UFP Trailer Buddy had a blue plastic insert and a steel cap, while the replacement did not. How much difference is there in quality and performance betwen the two and what model of UFP Trailer Buddy did/do you use on 06PIV. Thank you-Joe.
Bearing Buddies were a UFP brand that morphed into the ones you have. Just an older version. They will work fine. Be sure you check the lubrication suggestions in the FAQ section. BCB
