Yes, two things cause this, either an impact with a structure like a dock or pier, or rough water and running hard in chop. We can read identifiers in the boat to see what is up in any of these. The rivets can be replaced, and Service would be glad to assist. Newer boats have a machine screw and locking nut every few feet to reduce these issues. We cant solve them all, though we will always try to improve. The machine screws were started in 2006 sometime, so look yours over to see if you have these. You will see one every few feet if you do. This issue is a rivet issue we did not used to experience on the rub rail. Though obviously we began doing so in certain boats. They can be replaced, and a machine screw used every few feet will help! Hope this helps! BCB
