I love my new trailer with its pole and steps. The only thing I dont like is stepping onto my P-2, its awfully slippery when wet. Is there something skid proof I could put on the gel coat (a small spot) to step on. Or is this a dumb idea.

I dont think its a dumb idea at all. I have the same boat and Ive considered it myself. I just have not found anything that has caught my eye just yet to stick on there. It would not take much to serve the purpose needed.

Go to the Parts and Accessories site on BCB and order you some non skid material. ( I think it comes in 40″ x 40″ squares) Then you can cut it out in whatever shape you want and youll have enough to mess up a couple of times. I believe it was posted on here a while back that a Tear drop shape looked the best and BCB is actually doing that on some of the 2008 models. If you want something snazzier, you can buy one of the BASS CAT BOATS bubble stickers and put that where you normally step. Its pretty grippy and looks really good up there. It is also alot more durable than you would think. One of the guys in my fishing club has this and I will probably do the same as soon as I can remember to pick one up at the dealership. Is it that simple? It looks like that gel coat would be hard for something to stick on and hold over time.

Shap has handled this well. Yes we think the small fish logo would work for a small step pad. The traction grip paper will work also. We do this on the Cougar FTD in the teardrop shape, and already had that design done when the individual on this site posted that they thought it was a good idea in July. Almost like they were reading our minds > ? These are both good suggestions. BCB

I used m.o.b. perforated and waterproof grip tape for skateboards…Do a search online for “mob griptape”. It runs around $6.00 for a 9×33 sheet.

Chuck, we really were set back a bit when we saw your teardrop post. We already had the new Cougar FTD tooled with the double teardrops on the bow. It was like you had been with our tooling staff when we saw the post. If you recall, a comment was made in reference to the design. BCB

I remember the post and the comment regarding the tear drop shape. When the new Cougar Ftd pics came out, I fully understood the post.
