Yeah that is the same setup I am currently running. I am still tinkering with the jackplate, After I got the boat last year i started messing around a little with the plate, i got it set in to where holeshot was great and top end speed was 71.4 (me &light load, half gas), this was last fall, i kept it that way till summer, then raised the plate. Throughout the entire summer i was getting 68-70 depending on day and humidity etc;, but was hitting the rev limiter quite often on early morning runs right at 5875 or so. Now after reading a few post on hear from other people with the p4 i lowered my plate about a half an inch to where now the inner plate is just lower (1/4 inch)then the outer plate. I ran it the other day and was turning 6100 rpms at 69 mph with two people, and not once did i hit the rev limiter. Hole shot was even better then before also. So I was just thinking that maybe this thing could turn a 27P and get me a little more out of her. Any thoughts or opinions on this?
