Towing capacity

I have seen info on this in the past but my search brings back nothing; so apologies for redundancy.I want to buy a new vehicle but some I am interested in have two capacities of around 5,000 lbs. I have a single axle trailer with brakes to tow my Eyra. Im mostly a weekend fisherman usually driving an hour each way.When comparing vehicles, what towing capacity should I consider as minimal and are there any other considerations? thanks in advance.

SIZE OF THE VEHICLE DOING THE TOWING IS A TOP PRIORITY. THE EYRA ITSELF IS NOT A LARGE BOAT, AND A CAPACITY OF 5,000 LBS TOWING IS MORE THAN ADEQUATE. I TOW AN EYRA/TANDEM AXLE TRAILER WITH A NISSAN TITAN(YES, ITS THAT BIG! ), AND CANT TELL ANYTHING IS BACK THERE.I WOULD AT THE VERY LEAST CONSIDER A STRONG V-6 ENGINE, OIL/TRANSMISSION COOLERS. BTW, I would be hesitant to look at a small SUV/truck for towing. Preferrably mid to full size for an Eyra. And you need to plan ahead, if you decide to change out the Eyra for a bigger Cat, youll want to make sure you can tow safely.Oh, and for weekend fisherman, diesel is an option($$$).96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner

Look into something like a Chevy Trailblazer. I had one and towed my PIV with it.
