Taho brakes

I need to replace the brakes on my 2000 Taho does anyone have any ideas of what type of pads to use our should I just use ome stuff. I do the work myself and will also be replacing the rotors. I tow a 2005 Puma in upstate N.Y. Looking for some input . Thanks in advance.Joe C

No DOUBT~! Go to your local Delco Auto Parts dealership and put stock brakes on your rig. The stock brake pads are going to be the most reliable and having run aftermarket pads on amny vehicles, the stock ones are better.They cost considerably more also. You can also pick up replacement vented rotors on line by shopping various sources. Many are made by smaller outfits and sold to the branded companies. We think ProRotors might have been the last vented ones we bought? Though that is from memory. BCB

Heres my advice. Go to Advanced auto parts, and buy a set of bendix ceramic pads. They are better than OEM, and they have the usual lifetime warranty. A plus is that the brake dust is greatly reduced, and what you get is not some sticky almost-impossible-to-remove organic crapola that is hard to get off. I have put these on every vehicle we have here except for my Ford ranger and the only reason it does not have em is the lifetime warranty Bendix ceramic pads were not availble when I replaced the brakes the first time…Another idea. If you need rotors, go to Oreillys as they now have lifetime warranty brake rotors. If you do-it-yourself you end up not having to buy another pad or rotor. Cant speak for you, but my tow truck(s) have always gone through front pads in 20K miles or less…We have been using these pads on a mustang we also drag-race, and fade is non-existent…2008 Pantera Classic2014 Mercury Pro XS 200
