Is it normal that I have to prime the fuel ball the first time I start my engine (in the morning). If I dont do this it will not idle but will run if I give . Only 13 Hrs. Thanks.Danny B

I dont think so. I have let mine, same engine, sit for a week, hit the ignition and it fires up with just a blip of the key. You may need to have the dealer look at her!James

This is not normal unless it has set for a month or more, and then is not common on an Opti. We think you have a faulty Mercury fuel bulb, and the dealership can replace it.

BCB,Why did my 225 Pro XS come without the Mercury Rigging Hose? Mine came with a split type of corrugated protection! I just looked at Phils new 08 Puma and noticed the difference!JamesJames

This change was made in the 08 models. Your boat probably had the rigging kit in the rod box when delivered, though a total disconnect and reconnection would be required for rigging the kit.The rigging you have is what we have used for several years, and we did not use the Mercury kit for various reasons.There were a few 07 models with the Mercury Rigging kits, though they were more training tools and done to learn from, as for time variances and other issues. You are correct! I called Rockwall Marine and Tommy had his shop mechs search for it! They found it. I will swing the boat by there in October, on my way to Fork and let them put it on. Thanks guys!James
