Thomas Marine dropping Basscat?

Just wondering if this was true. If so does this mean they wont have any dealings with Basscat for warranty type issues? This would not be a good thing for growth in this area not having a dealership.Greg

Greg,I was at Thomas Marine 2 weeks ago. They had several CATS in stock. Cougar FTD, numerous Pantera IIs (maybe even 5 or 6) and 2 nicely equipped Sabres. I can only hope that this is not the case. However, BassCat would be sure to pick up a high quality dealer in its place if this were to happen.Thanks,BassCatDan

BCB, I realize that “business is business”, but if there is any way that Thomas Marine could stay the BassCat dealer, that would be great for the “family” down here. I dont know what could be worked out, but if there has been no change at this time, then maybe there is hope. Anyway, in my opinion, Thomas Marine is one of the largest well respected marine dealers in the area and a good fit for BassCat. If a change does come, I hope it is for the better. Guys, I have heard the same thing being kicked around. I didnt want to mention anything here because it was second hand information. I certainly hope they do not loose Bass Cat. Ive got my opinions as to why they havent moved some of thier cats but Ill leave that one to myself. All in all, they have a wonderfull dealership with a very friendly sales staff and it is set up really well. Not too many dealers have a showroom like that. Hopefully it is just rumor and they will continue to carry Bass Cat boats. I would hate to see all of the Bass Cats in southeast La. be without dealer assisstance.
