Eyra Insurance Premiums

Can some of you tell me what youre paying for insurance on your Eyra or Puma, Cougar? I had Progressive through USAA on my Sabre and just got a quote for a new 2017 Eyra. Seems crazy high at around $180 per month. It didnt change much between a $250 and $500 deductible. Supposed to get a quote from someone else tomorrow. Its about three times what my Sabre was but guess its not surprising considering the cost difference between the boats. My wife was okay with the boat, shes about to kill me now. My Margay is about $25 per month, so does seem a little high. I dont know how much the horsepower of the boat makes a difference though.Jared

I was paying $60 per month on my Sabre and I maxed out everything on my coverage, $250 deductible.

I wouldnt have progressive if it was $5 a month. I would think between $600-$1000 a year is in the ballpark.

Thanks, Ive never had an accident or a speeding ticket in auto or boating and Ive taken an online boater safety course. I only owned the Sabre for about 6 months but had a Mastercraft ski boat for a long time (over gen years) and also had a bass boat for several years. I believe its Worlwide who is going to call me tomorrow. Rec lending referred them.

My 08 pantera classic is insured for $26,000 agreed value (boat motor and trailer). Is costing me $212 per year with Allstate. I have three cars + homeowners with them which helps… My boat insurance is $250 deductible which I will change to $500 next year…2008 Pantera Classic2014 Mercury Pro XS 200

Ive gotten a couple of online quotes from other companies and they are much cheaper than Progressive. Im not sure what the deal is with them. I have everything insured through USAA so thought it would be reasonable through Progressive. Looks like I was paying too much for the Sabre also.
