Location of Power Pole Wireless Foot Switches…

Installing the wireless foot switches for my PPs and I am curious where yall are locating them on the deck. I have a good idea where I think they should go but curious if someone might have a better suggestion. I was thinking right next to the trolling motor foot pedal on both sides…up on right side of pedal and down on left side. Suggestions? Thanks. TD2017 Eyra / 250 Merc Pro XS

If you look at some of the pros boats, like John Crews Eyra, they have them on the fiberglass right behind the TM mount. This allows you to fully utilize the carpeted area without tripping if you like to move your feet a lot. I have mine right behind the trolling motor as far to the front as possible, on carpet.

Mine are at the very front of the carpet. Up on the right and down on the left each side of trolling motor foot well. They are set out to the side some, but not where your rod handles would cover them. They dont inadvertently get stepped on there. Not very often anyway.

For the install the directions say to predrill the holes with a 1/8″ drill bit. Do I need to be worried about anything electrical (or anything else for that matter) up there as I drill those holes? And then do I need to add anything with the screws for added fixation, sealant, protection? Basically, do I need to do anything other than screw the dang things down? They just drilled and screwed them down on mine. No problems

Yeh I thought about that location too Dave but my OCD wont let me put them both on one side. Everything has to be even and symmetrical and in straight lines. My wife thinks I am crazy (she might be right) and it took me a long time to get used to a single console boat too.2017 Eyra / 250 Merc Pro XS
