I have a new 2016 eyra. and fish the abt is there a form i need to fill out to be eligible for the quest incentives prior to the tournaments?thanks, Ben Lakey
If the events are sanctioned and you are the original owner new, then your all set! If your the second ownership a buzz to the factory can straighten it out. You should have to pay a membership if your second ownership.
Is the US Open now a Quest Sanctioned Event??
We aren’t sure as usually when BCB is providing product they are not Quest.
2020 update, yes the US Open is a Quest event as are Wild West Bass Trail, Arkansas Bass Team Trail and Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail events.
I am the 3rd owner of a 2013 Pantera II. Am I eligible for any Quest incentives at qualifying tournaments? I’ve read over the above rules and got a little lost in it all.
Yes, you are able to register and receive Quest incentives up to the Double Up level.

Please fill me in on these scenarios, as the original owner of a 2021 P2, now that USA Bassin has been added to the Quest list:
Thanks in advance.
Only if the minimum boat counts are met, though we have not completed the 2022 program yet and that could change as we do want to support USA Bassin’.
There is no highest finish on events with lower entry fees and lower participations. They also have this same scenario on the APEX Tour which is a semi-professional event in the western USA with a high cost entry fee.

Justin, You can get your events sanctioned either by the dealership or by individuals. There are some requirements and distance minimums for those to be activated by anglers themselves.
As they have migrated to the BaitFuel Tour, we will recognize that as Renegade Bass and our agreement is with Renegade Bass as the organization.
So instead of the series getting sanctioned I have to apply for every tournament I’m going to do ?

It will depend on your area and your sanction. Yes in some cases, and in others no. Please tell us what you want to sanction and we will provide details.
2024 Program saved in Main Rules page:
12.6.23 Please read the following guidelines carefully to insure qualification and membership in the Bass Cat Quest Program. As with any sweepstakes, promotion or giveaway some regulations apply. Quest is an extensive and complex program intended to maximize consumers potential at receiving Tournament Incentives. The rules are printed and will be adhered to with final interpretation following those last printed on the Quest Owners Board in accordance to guidelines, at that mentioned site location. It is the owner’s responsibility to know the guidelines and follow them within intent of these regulations.

Tier 1 sanctions are applicable to new boats less than 2 years of age and may pay up to $7,500 per incentive, and requirements listed in the Double Up section (D. 2a.) apply.
Bass Cat will generate a listing of the sanctioned events and all requests for sanctions must be accepted and approved at least 30 days prior to the event dates.
Winner Submission forms must be submitted, complete and received No later than 30 days following the Sanctioned Event. This may be in written or electronic (Internet) form and signed off by one of the approved administrators of the Tournament Incentive Program. Further information can be obtained either on the Bass Cat Owners Board, or, through http://www.basscat.com
A. Sanction boats required per event and initial guidelines. Tournaments must be open to participation by any qualified angler. Specialty events may qualify if open to equal participation and is open to all Bass Cat Owners.
The standard Quest program, for Quest events with 60 participants or 30 Boats in team/draw competitions there will be a $250.00 incentive. Tournaments with 60 Boats in team/draw competitions and/or 120 anglers can accrue $500.00 for each tournament win under guidelines established below. Events with over 100 Boats and/or 200 anglers can achieve $1,000.00 in incentive monies. Each Owner may qualify for up to $2,000.00 or two major wins, in annual Quest incentives when participating in local and regional events, outside of the Double UP.
There is an annual maximum cap in the overall payout double that maximum amount for all levels. (Example per registration: $2,000, $4,000 or $15,000)
B. Tournaments must have a written structure and rules for each event. Starting and completion times must be regulated. The format must be organized and accepted as a common tournament structure. Revolutionary formats are open to acceptance by the Program Administrators. Further restrictions may be posted “on line” at http://www.basscat.com as they are deemed necessary and will be considered regulations for compliance in the Program Immediately.
C. National and Regional Collegiate Bass Fishing Events:
This regards to sanctioning of National and Regional Collegiate Bass Fishing events. Those sanctions apply to Bassmaster, MLF/FLW Collegiate and other collegiate Regional and higher events as accepted. Presently there are three (3) recognized affiliations.
The incentives will be $2,000 for those with a GPA of 3.00 or better, and $1,000 for those with a GPA of 2.5 or above, for Sanctioned Regional or National Collegiate Championships. The student must be a Full-Time student with at least 12 hours. This applies to collegiate anglers as in where a direct family member owns the boat that they use in the event and does not include onetime borrowing for the event. They must both qualify in and use an eligible Bass Cat boat during the event and those prior, unless boat was acquired just prior to competition. Double Up (D.) section applies.
Those college anglers also competing in non-Collegiate events are qualified for all other Quest events, as long as they compete in a qualified Bass Cat boat during the collegiate season, and/or fall within the guidelines for GPA and scholastic hours as a Full Time Student. Borrowing a boat for a Quest sanctioned event as a singular does not qualify, as listed in the requirements above.
Immediate Post-graduation qualifying events competition is allowed, they are not able to compete in further sanctioned events or compete as Quest members as an open program, unless they own their specific registered boat, this period is past the first semester of the scholastic year post graduation, or nearest post-graduation event date. Full Time Masters and Doctorate programs does qualify as extending sequential education, post bachelor’s degree as ongoing education, pending these are full time programs (proof required).
D. Double Ups, Co-Angler Non Boaters and Split Decisions: (Extra Ca$h) There are three levels of Quest for 2024. The Section N has a specific area relating to new boat owners which are less than 2 years of age. Those individual owners are entitled to up to $7,500 in incentives.
Levels and Minimum to Maximum payouts: Annual Max Cap
Standard Quest…… $ 250.00 …….. $ 2,000.00
Double Up………….. $ 2,000.00 ……. $ 4,000.00
Tier 1………………….. $ 7,500.00 ……. $ 15,000.00
The Double up, Each Individual is qualified for two Double UP wins. Double Up events are required to have 125 boat participants, or 250 total anglers. Each BCB Quest member is then eligible for a total of $2,000 for each Double UP win, to a Maximum of Two wins. Events sanctioned as Double Up’s with less than 125 boats are then standard Quest program events. There are no Owner Sanctions available for Double UP events. Dealers may request consideration of events as Double UP’s. These are limited by other restrictions.
Quest Double UP sanctioned events require 100 boats, for 2024 those are:
Arkansas Bass Team Trail, Alabama Bass Trail, Carolina Bass Challenge, BFL (Bass Fishing League) Events, Wild West Bass Trail, FLW (Costa), BASS Opens, Bass Champs, ABA National Championships, ABA Ram events, Renegade Bass Trail (Canada), National Professional Fishing League (NPFL), Texas Team Trail, Mr Bass of Arkansas, OMTT, WON Bass Pro Am Divisions (West Coast).
1. Quest Non-Boaters: Co-Anglers, competing in Pro/Am style formats as co-anglers may also qualify for $500 in Quest sanctioned tournaments with over 125 boats, or $250 with less than 125 boats to 85 boats. No incentives exist, for Co-Anglers in events below 85 boats participation. All of the same rules and guidelines apply.
2. Split Decisions Teams in which both anglers own Bass Cats, and both boats are registered with Quest, can qualify for an additional 50% of funds as a team. Bass Cat realizes that only one individual can own the qualifying boat. The teams can opt for joint participation and the Quest funds will be equally dispersed at 50% higher levels, to a maximum of $1500 on the Joint Quest Win. The incentive would be $375, $750 and $1500 for the Quest win. Double Ups do not qualify for Split Decisions.
a. IMPORTANT: Split Decisions apply on listed Team Events in the Tier 1 events section. Those will be calculated based on the ages of product and their individual levels of incentives. Thus a $7500 and $500 (50% of $1,000) would possibly be applicable on a Tier own with two owners, up to a Maximum of $11,250.00 possibly divided 50/50 on Team events with ABT, ABTT, AIA, BCT, BTC, CBC and TTT.
b. Split Decision with various levels of incentives. In the case of a Split Decision above $3000 maximum, where the teams are not equal in boat age requirements, Bass Cat or Yar-Craft will full maximum to the higher owner at their full incentive, secondarily rewarding the Split Decision incentive at the bonus level to the lower eligible owner. It is the team responsibility to resolve any discrepancies and tax issues.
3. Double UP events unlisted as such require 125 Boats and a total participant ability of 250 persons. Events with Require Entry Fees of $150 per team or individual.
E. This Bass Cat Tournament Incentive Program will require each angler receiving bonus monies to:
1. Be registered in the Quest Program, and/or own a new boat under full warranty and follow all other guide lines in these (#R) formats. The Tournament must be won in a Bass Cat Boat. Un-owned new products do not qualify, as all units must be registered by both the state and Bass Cat. Dealers and their employed staff are eligible if they regularly use a Bass Cat or Yar-Craft demonstration model for events.
2. Owner Operator of the Bass Cat Boat must be wearing either, a Bass Cat Hat, Coat, or Shirt for the event. Images will be required at time of weigh in or awards, no exceptions and proof of clothing will be required. (Note: Promotional Persons See #J Also) Cell phone images are accepted.
3. Ownership must be on file at Bass Cat as the valid owner of the boat. Joint ownership will be validated by state registration and the boat must be registered to the individual(s). Lifetime registration of transferred units will be required prior to Tournament. Failure to transfer warranty on Lifetime units, may dissolve said Lifetime Warranty.
F. Highest Finishing boater in the Top 20 of Bass Cat Owners: Bass Cat will provide the following incentive to the highest finishing Bass Cat registered owner, in the following organizations Top 20, for the events list below and paid as listed.
Only LISTED sanctions below are eligible for Top 20.
The amount of $500.00, for 125 boat participation and achieving Top 20 completion as the Bass Cat highest finisher will be authorized, unless event is a Quest win. This may require tournament director authorization. Should the individual events have less than 125 boats and above 75 boats the amount of incentive will be $250 for the highest finishing registered Bass Cat boat owner.
Events which qualify for the ‘limited’ Highest Finishing Top 20 Bass Cat owner are:
Alabama Bass Trails (ABT), Bass Champs, Brandon Belt Fishing 100k Grand Slam, Brandon Belt Fishing “The Show” Series, Texas Team Trails, Texas Tuff Man, BFL (Bass Fishing League), and MLF Toyota Series.

No intent is expressed to continue these programs past the 2013 season. This program will be adjusted occasionally. Those alterations will be posted on line in the Quest Section of the Owners Board for access to the most up to date regulations, prior to tournament take off. This is an online based promotion, and electronic alterations supersede all printed materials. Tournament acceptance is not extended to future events, nor grand-fathered into sanctioning. Events are only approved following the listing, within 30 days prior to competition ending.
H. High School scholarship program: final program presentation is pending acceptance or guidelines in cooperation with varying state regulations. The program is in place for the 2024 year, for students who are above GPA requirements of Collegiate Quest *(3.00 – 2.50) and are competing regularly in a family boat. Guidelines will be required that coaches be owners and a direct family member, such as uncle, grandparent or parent.
Unless the student owns the boat, all guidelines in Section H. must be met. State events will run as Double Up’s if the events meet that criteria. Only the Bassmaster and MLF National Championships qualify as Tier 1 events. There are no Top 20 incentives for High School.
Events are openly sanctioned and run under the minimum boat count of Section A. Open Sanctions means any high school event that meets this criteria and youth meet the criteria listed under Section H. Images and likeness will not be used on minors competing as High School anglers without consent.
I. Bass Cat title events or Bass Cat Dealer specific events (including various charity events) may not qualify for Sanctions or Incentives as those are already supported with product by Bass Cat Boats.
J. Each Bass Cat promotion boat/angler can participate in Quest. Members of the Bass Cat Promotional Staff must be wearing full attire (hat, and shirt) for incentives and membership under Quest.
K. Bass Cat reserves the right to regulate this program as desired. It will require all participants to complete proper IRS forms for legally required reporting of income. (Form 1099 MISC). The future of said program is not guaranteed and is solely based on funding available and participation.
L. Forms must have correct address and must be submitted complete, postmarked no less than 30 days following event closure with proper records for verification of incentives, and necessary signatures and proof. Failure to provide proof of clothing, participation and final placement as winning individual or team, shall be reason for refusal of awards. Individuals understand that compliance with Quest guidelines is solely their responsibility and in no way the responsibility of either the dealership or Bass Cat Boats. Approved organizations with printed sponsor exemptions for clothing requirements will be accepted in those instances, waiving clothing requirement. Please allow 45 to 60 days for the processing of claims and verification of authenticity that program guidelines have been met.
M. *Marquis events: 2024 *Marquis Tier 1 events may be sanctioned for maximum payouts. Those are by either Factory or dealership sanction, with Factory approval. The factory has a formula based on participation, entry fee, area impact and boating trade area, including saturation and competitive environments. They are limited in any area on the numbers of sanctions.
