Any tips for snaking a wire from the bow to console?

Bow to console is fairly easy. Youll just need to wrap the wire with some tape (not too bulky) and feed it from front to back. The difficult run is from the rear of the boat to the console. Patience is key, but if I did it, its easy. Good luck.JP

When you do this tape a small diameter rope to it and leave the rope in there. Make sure it is twice as long as needed so you never pull it all the way out. It makes it easy for the next time. Tape it to the rope and pull it through.

Thanks in advance.With a plumbers snake it might be possible to go through the hole behind the clam shell, BUT I found it easier to access through the drivers side compartment and go forward. That way you dont have such an angle to have to deal with and its just easier to reach in through the trolling motor access panel and find the end of your wire. I liked a good stiff-ish fish tape ran from the TM plug using electrical tape to attach the cable to the fish and Id wrap some extra around the end to round it off. Then pushed to the console in front of the gear shift. only place where I would ever get hung up was in the rod locker area where there was a small gap in the rigging tube. If you get stuck in that area, you might have the same thing.Should be pretty easy for ya. Now mounting a 2.25inch ram ball in the bow is a different story.

I tape wire to the end of a hose, run the hose through and then pull the rest of the wire. The stiffness of the garden hose makes it easy to push through without balling up.- Chaz
