Topic: Humminbird 787c

I have a question about my Humminbird 787c. I would like to replace just the unit and have found one to buy. Will a new unit fit the existing quick disconnect on my console? I dont want to have to replace the transducer, power cable, etc. just the GPS/sonar unit only. Will a different unit fit and work with the existing quick disconnect? Can anyone say? Thanks!

If the unit is an older HumminBird, we doubt it. Since we are not that versed on the older units, we assume that some will fit. The mounting brackets are very similar, and they may interchange. That is if your unit has a pivot base and swivel gimbal. BCB

Sorry about that, but I wasnt clear. I am replacing my existing 787c2 with another 787c2. I know it may sound like a ridiculous question, asking if another 787c2 unit will fit, but I just didnt know if there were unique characteristics about each unit. I am existing one 787 with another 787. So, is it safe to assume the replacement unit will fit the existing quick disconnect? Thanks!
