Fished a BFL on Toledo Bend yesterday. Day started with 1 – 2 ers, not rough but a bumpy ride. On the ride South, we ran with and actually passed a 20 R (not a Z series) pushed by a 255 Rude. When we reached our first fishing spot my co-angler asked, “That is a 150 Merc, right? That was a 225 we were running with!) Honestly, that R was not set-up correctly, as he would trim up, I could see his bow drop and the rooster tail shoot up over 6 above his cowling. All said though, our Sabres are hot rigs! BCB is absolutely correct in saying it is the “sports car” of their line! Drives awesome, runs and rides great for an 18 boat. But most of all, it fishes fantastic! Stable when the co-angler decides to walk from one side to the other while fishing, low profile, manuveurs easily; and, most importantly, best livewell in any 18 boat (or any length for that matter)! With temps over 95 degrees and two tournament limits in the well, our fish were as lively at weigh-in, as when we caught them! Thanks BassCat for building a great line of boats! Doug Odom
