How can I repair a small chip on my Kitty Cat the size of a dime? Also what compound do you guys recommend for taking out some lite scratches? Thanks in advanceJoe BarreraYour Signature ...
Whew, this is a large topic for a small chip. First put some catalyzed gel coat in the chip as smooth as possible. Then take some light sandpaper and wet sand it smooth lightly, then polish it with compound, wax and good to go!
PA uses 3M Finesse It to remove the smaller scratches and I saw it does good job on scuffs. Then polish or wax when done. Rubbing compound might do the same thing but I was impressed with the 3M product. Judd Lasiter
I used gelcoat, sandpaper 150-800 grit wet, and then 3M Marine Super Duty buffing compound and finally wax. It took some time but did a good job repairing some bow support damage.
