my son&partner both have new puma w/250 opti ss hole shot poor,27 trophy,(tried my 26,little help,cut top end way dn-6mph )with&wo blowout ring-tried diff. plugs-solid& with hole,also w/no plugs-big problem when tourn loaded-livewells…full gas,tried lowering motor to j-plates even,outer was 1.25 higher,some improvement to lessen chine wlk. only-(careful not to tilt ob too high-strg. ftgs. will hit plate w/ outer plt even)neither will plane as well as my `04 w/225 opti ftd-25 trophy-top end on pumas about 80,7 mph more than mine loaded-need to plane&stay up for control-we are in very rough water often-potomac R.&Chesareake Bay
