02 Classic with trailer/bearings

Can anyone help me? I have the above boat and trailer a little over a year and I know preventative trailer maintenance was never performed at all. Decided to repack or replace the bearing buddies. (assume that's what is on there) Never done this before. Is there any step by step instructions to do this somewhere? I am novice for this, have friend over that is decent at working on auto's but he also cannot see how to get removed to repack or removed and replaced. Right now trailer is jacked up, tire removed - inside components removed up to the "sprocket" (for want of better word) with cottor pin in it. How is pin removed? No idea how to go any further to actually get to the bearings. Should I just put back together and take to a shop. They want $200 to repack and that is if do not have to be replaced. ( Cost of replacement brg.bdys for single axle???) That seemed very high to me but then again I am finding out do not know all involved. Did not think it would be very hard unless I am just going about it all wrong. Is it that difficult to repack or just replace the whole unit (again don't know cost of unit). I did send email to parts department today, probably hear from them maybe tomorrow. Just wanted to see if someone on here could get me started right or tell me I am in over my head......thanks...................BOB
