When it gets to be summer time and the big boats come out …. none on them are going to ride well! I live at the lake as well. Late fall, winter, and into spring most all of the BCB line will ride as good if not better than most all of the other bassboat lines but when it comes to going against the 45′- 50′ cruiser …. forget it!
Currently in a 2017 Eyra, preferences is a toss-up, Eyra’s Really handy getting around docks, and if you know how!! Getting around drunken cruiser boat captains!!
I also live on Lake of the Ozarks and went from a puma to a lynx. The lynx handles the big waves here very well. The puma was a little quicker to maneuver around docks. I really like the wide deck of the lynx and it’s my favorite model to fish out of.
The 203 Hybrid is a crossover that we won’t directly compare with the core BCB line. The ride is similar to that of a Champion and performs about that same way. Though at rest it fishes more stable like a Bass Cat.
We are waiting and letting those who come along an buy a 203 Hybrid hull make the comments on the comparisons. There are several on order and they are in production now.
Jaguar then Lynx, then Eyra and after that take your pick.
The Jag and Lynx aren’t a surprise given their size, but I am surprised the Eyra being on the top three list. What makes the Eyra a better rough water riding boat then the larger Puma or Cougar, or the wider Caracal? Thanks.
Can’t comment on the Caracal but run and owned both Cougars and Pumas. Their ride compared to the Eyra is about the same, but when it gets rough the 20’4” boats will have a softer landing!
Good Morning Chuck, I am currently on Lynx #2. I love to “Feel the Rush” as much as the next guy but at my age I was getting to the point I was feeling it in my lower back for a few days after. I really appreciate the ride of the Lynx because I don’t have that problem anymore. The Lynx is a mid 70’s boat with a 250 and a load, which is fast enough for me anymore. It will pass most on the water and do it comfortably.
