Livewell aerator and recirculate not working

My switches for the livewell fill pump and recirculate quit working.  Pump is good as I direct wired and it works.  Ordered new a10 panel and it’s exactly same.  Ground is good at pump as I checked that.  Any ideas?

Have you searched the “frequently asked questions” section of the forum?  There should be multiple threads on this problem.
This problem most probably associated with the “terminal strip” on the transom of your boat.  Look for loose connections, broken wiring or rusted connections on the red wires coming from your battery. Pay special attention to the “red jumper” and make sure it is in good condition.

The pumps may work direct, though if they are bad they have no protection to prevent operation when wired direct. That does not test the amperage requirements of a faulty pump. We are more suspect to a ground issue as mentioned, though a good voltmeter would be a help also on this.

I had the same problem on my 2001 P3, and it turned out to be one of the ground jumpers had corroded on the buss bar on the inside of the transom. It about drove me crazy because it would check good on an Ohm meter, but it would not carry a load when you turned on a pump. I think only one stand was left holding together.

thanks everyone for the replies.  I’ll examine the buss bar more closely as I just checked with ohmmeter.
