No,  it’s not normal and it can be very easily repaired. We prefer a dealership perform this work as you can make a large error on a simple placement. Get with your local dealership and we would be glad to walk them through it.

I had the same issue in my 2018 Caracal, EASY FIX, Pull both cup out, take a screwdriver go from left to right and make a hole through the foam towards the center drain line and drain from the left  cup holder / dog bowl to the right dog bowl and more to the center drain line. Easy Peazy, replace cup holders and smile all done. Time less then 10 min.

Actually it needs a hole drilled into the center drain area, the sump where the floor drains are. It’s more complex than just punching the foam as the water just piles up with no where to go.

 

 

You CAN NOT just punch straight down as the floor is fiberglass and if you miss the drain, or vertical stringer edge, you will drain water into the foam chamber. There is no where for water to go except down should you mess up. That area is sealed now, and you should not break that seal. The boat will continue to suck up water until the chamber is filled with water and the foam sucks it up.

Yes, BCB and Hemifun, My Bad yes drill from the right cup on a slight angle maybe 22 Degree’s ( not straight down ) into the center drain line and be sure not to drill a hole in the boat bottom. Still simple, clean out excess foam. 10 min job. I did it last year when they filled up with water, called service, somebody missed it during construction.
