Has anyone installed the new Minnkota Raptors on a 20-21 Cougar? A main concern is will this install get in the way of using the rear boarding ladder if needed. Also wondering if I will need the 4” or 6” mounting bracket. If you have installed any photos would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
The Raptor brackets should not interfere with the boarding ladder on a ‘21 year model Cougar FTD. You have a few options in brackets and that’s where your decision is.
So the Cougar came in and I’m trying to install the Raptors. I have a Bobs jackplate right from BassCat. I bought the 6” plate adapters and the shims for the Bob’s plate. There is no way these will work , well not way I can see to make them work. Has anyone installed these on a Cougar? I need help figuring this out. Thank you in advance. BCB have you mounted Raptors on a 21 cougar with a bobs jackplate? Which jackplate brackets fit?
Alright, the Bob’s plate is wider than other plates and the nest option might be to either custom build brackets, or go to a smaller Power Pole bracket. MinnKota is still learning what PP already has on configurations.
