Current build time on a Puma STS is about December or January.

As for the new Suzuki engine, they still only had prototype models and we deferred on displaying one at the Excellence In Action 2023 dealer meeting. We prefer to show product when it is ready for market.

I agree you’d think at this point Zuk would have something out on it. Unless they ran into a chip thing like most.

Oh well I guess I’ll just keep it in the bank a bit longer 🙂

I’ll be waiting till then. BTW Any new color options coming on the boats?  Kind of like the dk silver with black letters on the Zuk trying to think a good boat combo with it. Like lighter top caps just to reduce heat on the water.

White is the best to reduce heat. It generally is only 2 degrees over ambient. Any other colors are heat absorbing at different levels to black obviously. Even the light greys and silvers have heat.

There are no new colors in 2023 and we have significantly more color options than any competitive company.

I agree on the amount of options but why do some options get marked unavailable in spots?

I like the looks, didn’t realize it has variable length intake runner manifold to maximize torque throughout the 6300rpm range. The concern is the steep 2.08 gearing and prop selection depending on the top speed capability.

2.08 gears will require a larger propeller and the Mercury rigs today are pulling 24″ wheels and a 26″ is fine for this ratio.

The Mercury 150hp has 2.08 gears, but the 250 has 1.75. A 26” pitch prop won’t even hit 70mph with 2.08 gears and I can’t imagine there’s any Basscat model with a 250hp outboard that won’t do 70mph.
