Those are front and rear poles, and you will only have those poles on a Dual a console. The tension on the cover when taught regulates the height of the poles. If you begin at approximately 2” – 3” above the height of a folding seat laying flat, you should be close.
The holes are the multiple holes that extend through the trim stabilizer arms. Those holes are normally to insert a Trim Stop pin, which bass boats do not use. Others again run the straps to the stern eyes, which is not how it was designed. In some cases the stern eyes seem to help around some anchor pole (power pole) and bracket configurations. Which can wear the straps. The actual strap is amazingly strong for a thin material, as mentioned above.
Once all the straps, ratchets and poles are adjusted, it’s easy to complete the install in well under 5 minutes if you hustle. Simple in 10 minutes and time is a value.
Another Tidbit: Our cover design in use actually saves fuel and increases mileage slightly over towing the boat alone. Other covers we’ve tested do slightly cost fuel mileage. One competitive brand cover pockets when towing and piles at the consoles, that cover decreased fuel mileage over 1 MPG in testing.
Covers are a big deal and we hope to continue gaining on the excessive backlog over the next few months.
