Hard to remove seat post

Hello, has anyone had a hard problem removing back seat post? I have to remove seat to cover  boat , and it is extremely difficult to remove the seat. I have a 2023 Pantera classic.

A very long standing problem. The best advice I can personally give is get several old towels and wrap them around the base of the pole. Get a large pipe wrench and carefully turn the pole till it comes out. After that, get your power drill and get a buffing stone and smooth out the peg hole, then gets some lubricant for the hole and peg. Not only BCB but most all boat manufacturers and owners have put up with this crap for years!!

Chuck you beat me to the punch.  To add onto what Chuck stated take some very fine emery paper, or steel wool onto the seat post shaft and work on it a bit.  Then either spay the peg hole as Chuck said.  Watch out, too much lube and you will stain the carpet.  Liquid Wrench Dry Lubricant sprays on wet, and then drys quickly.  It does do the trick of lubricating that post hole.

Cut a thin plastic bag (grocery produce bags) to fit just the “peg” part of the pedestal and use that to keep the peg from sticking in the hole.

I bought a little pry bar from harbor freight for 5 bucks. Wiggle it under the bottom of the post and it pops right out.
