Chuck you beat me to the punch. To add onto what Chuck stated take some very fine emery paper, or steel wool onto the seat post shaft and work on it a bit. Then either spay the peg hole as Chuck said. Watch out, too much lube and you will stain the carpet. Liquid Wrench Dry Lubricant sprays on wet, and then drys quickly. It does do the trick of lubricating that post hole.
