Bungi cord by troll motor

Hello, does anyone know what the bungi cord to the right of foot pedal could be used for? It is in the recessed bow area by foot pedal. The boat is a 2023 pantera.

Old school – That’s there to hold buoy markers some of us old folks still use on occasion.  With spot lock, FF electronics, 360 etc. probably not many folks use them anymore.  I like to sometimes but the tournament guys seem to think when you put one out it’s an invitation to come fish beside you so weekend use is pretty much out.  At least on Champlain anyway.
